The Computing and Systems Technology (CAST) Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is responsible for the wide range of activities within AIChE that involve the application of computers and mathematics to chemical engineering problems including process design, process control, operations, and applied mathematics.   We arrange technical sessions at AIChE Meetings, organize special conferences, and publish the newsletter -- CAST Communications -- twice a year.  These activities enable our members to keep abreast of the rapidly changing fields of computers and system technology.

Benefits of CAST Membership (Join now):
Influence the dynamic computing and systems technology community; don't be lost in the general AIChE membership.
Receive an excellent, comprehensive newsletter to stay informed on CAST activities and learn about new developments in the field.
Participate in continual learning & advancing the field of computing and systems technology through:   WebCASTs, conference programming, web-based posting to CAST community, and professional leadership.
Support awards to recognize leaders in the CAST area.

CAST Areas:
10a: Systems and Process Design
10b: Systems and Process Control
10c: Systems and Process Operations
10d: Applied Mathematics and Numerical Analysis
10e: Information Management and Intelligent Systems
